Karima’s pastry career began with a little flour, butter, sugar, eggs and an Easy Bake Oven. When she was 5 years old her mother bought it for her for Christmas. Her family soon became the recipient of many cakes, cookies and pies. Having the sweet tooth that she did, and the creativity to match, Karima immediately fell in love with all of the possibilities of making art out of sugar. Now a couple of thousands of cakes later, her passion for delicious and beautiful cakes has grown into a full time successful company known as Sweet Brown Suga.
Karima has over 20 years’ experience in the world of edible art. After receiving her degree in Pastry Arts, she spent time in Europe, Hawaii and most recently working at The Ritz Carlton, Atlanta as a Pastry Chef. During her tenure at the Ritz Carton Karima she has been nominated for 5 star twice and won once.
